Shivering after tooth extraction
My dad 62 yrs had his tooth extraction today, post which he got heavy body shivering and feverish... doctor advised to take paracetomol, augment tab and imol tablet..is this shivering normal?

Yes sir.. this happens very rarely...but don't bumbard him with heavy antibiotics...just give Brufen 400 and cefixime 200 twice a day for 3 days

Sometimes, patient gets fever after tooth extraction..
I hope ur father doesn’t not have any medical history associated ..
give him : Dolo 650 mg (SOS)
After extraction of tooth, prescribed medications are:
Cap.Augmentin 625mg twice a day
Tab. Metrogyl 400 mg thrice a day
Cap. Pan-D once a day
Tab. Ketorol-DT thrice a day

Yes it's normal... sometimes after extraction patient get fever...don't worry...just continue with medicine given by dr ...and let him to take rest ...
