Have been playing and fast bowling on hard surface (astroturf). Due to this I have been having discomfort and pain in my left shin and calf now.
I have been icing it but comes back after I play again.
What can be done?

It may be due to shin splints?
Avoid running /walking /playing on cemented surface.
Or get best quality cushion shoes during physical workout.
Avoid over strain in ankle and knees like jumping.
Keep doing icing but not more than 10 minutes if ice pieces.
Do stretching after running and strengthening before workout.

You might be having pain because of shin splint which is common in runners and occurs mostly due to running on hard surface.
If you have started playing newly then you need to follow proper technique. Also you need good strengthening and stretching exercises.
