Severe Pain and Swelling Near Jaw
Dear Doctor, I have been experiencing severe pain in my right side’s last tooth, accompanied by swelling under my ear. The pain has become unbearable, and I also noticed significant discomfort in the swollen area. I have an X-ray report available for review and would appreciate your expert opinion on the cause and the next steps for treatment.

Hello The pain might be due to the wisdom tooth. Please go for extraction of the wisdom tooth after clinical examination.

Hi.. according to x ray you shared you must be having pericoronitis ( related to wisdom tooth), swelling is because of infection, it can lead to difficulty in mouth opening as well so consult a doctor, start taking medicines and if doctor recommends tooth removal then it is advisable to get it removed and that will be the permanent cure to that problem. Tooth infection/ pain can radiate towards head, ear, neck.
Next Steps
Mouthwash, maintain good oral hygiene, start taking antibiotics after consulting doctor
