Hi, thanks for the question. I am sure this is difficult for you to deal with. Schizophrenia causes people to have access to an alternate reality where they are able to hear and in extreme cases see things that we can not. People suffering from this have Deep seated trauma in their subconscious which take over their mind and body completely and they aren’t able to distinguish between what’s real and what’s not. The trauma makes them feel unsafe on this world. They have a hard time navigating real and assumed. Such people feel confused and lost most of the time and might find it difficult to carry on their regular day to day tasks as well. Sometimes due to the trauma and the stress of navigating this confusing reality they are forgetful and might develop mild or compete amnesia which is forgetfulness. Take care. You’re brave!

Hi... Please consult a Psychiatrist for a Medical Diagnosis. Do not try to self diagnose based on symptoms and partial knowledge from online sources. Mental disorders of this kind are complex and the symptoms overlap a lot. Only a qualified medical practitioner (psychiatrist) can efficiently discriminate between the various overlapping symptoms and provide a diagnosis eventually. In such case treatment is started with a prognosis and the diagnosis comes later when the treatment is effective.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist for a medical diagnosis and Medication. Treatment will involve a combination of medication and psychotherapy both. Consult a Psychologist for Family Guidance & Counselling.
