Hi... Please take Counselling sessions on weekly basis to help you get over this traumatic experience.
I know it feels like, how can talking to a therapist about it is going to help? But it actually does. When we are able to openly share our traumatic experiences in a controlled environment (safe, non judgemental, confidential) in a therapeutic setting/ relationship, we experience a healing process over a period of time.
Also, therapeutic interventions help us rewire our thoughts and emotions in a manner that help us recover from the mental scars of such experiences.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist.
CBT along with Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
Hi,
You have been through physical trauma. And when we go through physical trauma, our body also has memory and it is stored in our cells.
A therapist will work with you to release the trauma physically first and then it can be resolved emotionally.
Sometimes when we go through something like sexual abuse, our mind is not able to let go of that trauma and keep it in the past, it keeps cropping up through disturbed sleep, anxiety, any triggering situation or person or through nightmares.
EMDR therapy has worked best for my clients who have suffered from trauma and abuse.

When you are taking sessions for it, make sure you have a close person that you share with and ask your therapist about your coping resources to ease up the therapeutic process for you
It affects not only their mental health and emotional well being but also their ability to safe and secure in their relationships. Sexual trauma can change a person forever but with treatment it is possible to repair some of their issues so that they can learn to develop close connections with others.

Working with a therapist and talking through the experiences can help them better understand why they have certain triggers and what they can do when difficult emotions come up. Their therapist can help them work on strategies to get through their fears of intimacy and even work with their partner to maintain the relationship.
