Hello,
My spouse had done a blood test for fever and the report says salmonella typhi 0 1:40 (positive) and salmonella typhi H 1:40 ( positive). I would like to know if this conforms to typhoid or not

A Widal test result of 1:40 for typhoid is generally considered mild positive, indicating current or past infection with Salmonella Typhi, but should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical symptoms and other diagnostic tests for accurate diagnosis.
Hi, Your report doesn’t indicate for typhoid positive. But typhoid test should be done only after 1 week of fever because of risk of false negative before 1 week. Take healthy food and if fever continues. U can consult ur physician. U can consult me here if u wish. Thanku
