hello,
visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. if there is infection to the root of the tooth, you need to get it treated. then get a crown placed over it. the cost of the treatment depends on the case, the location of the clinic and popularity of the dentist. it can range from Rs. 2500-5000/-.

An alternative can only be advised after knowing your detailed dental case history with radiographs provided. A dentist advises RCT only when decay or caries has reached to pulp of a tooth which has nerve supply for the tooth. root canal is also advised in preventive care when a missing tooth is replaced with a fixed bridge depending on the patient's oral health condition. Cost of RCT varies from tooth location, condition, technique sensitivity and also after RCT a crown is advised.
