Rubber dam placement is not at all painful.
Root canal treatment is not always painful
Unless the tooth is highly infectious/abscessed.
Still the treatment is worth, even if one has to experience a bit of pain.
It's very well tolerable. And most of the time it's a fully painless procedure.
