My wife started playing cricket 4 months ago and she had a lot of pain in both of her thighs for the first 3 days but she didn't rest and continued playing. Now after 3 months we noticed a big swelling in her right thigh when flexed the leg. There is no pain at all. Just the swelling.
She had a MRI and the MRI says "Well-defined lesion measuring approximately 7 cm in the long axis of the thigh and 1.3 x 1.1 cm in the horizontal axes around the central tendon of the rectus femoris muscle of the right thigh. Lesion probably represents a small haematoma."
My question is, if there is no pain, is it possible that it is a hematoma. Can she get such a big hematoma just by playing cricket. Why it is not dissolved even after 4 months. What can we do to make it dissolved or should we get another opinion?
