Spinal Tuberculosis since 4 months.
My brother have been diagnosed with spine tuberculosis in August. Based on MRI findings, For 3 months he was taking ATT medicines. After 3 months of medication, we have done repeat MRI, where it was found that spinal tuberculosis lesions has increased a little instead of decreasing. Although he was feeling better as compared to earlier. So doctor suggested biopsy, in which it was confirmed that he had stage 3 spine tuberculosis. Doctor started different and more intensive dosage for tuberculosis along with amikacin injection for 4 weeks. Although it was not MDR tb. After 4 weeks, CRP levels are reduced, 2 kg weight gain is there. But he has pain on the site where kyphosis is formed while sitting or pressing of that region. There is no other neurological deficit. There is kyphosis due to vertebral collapse. How much time will it take to subsidize the localized pain near kyphosis (vertebral collapse). Also which sleeping position is best for current situation?

Your brother is improving. Kindly follow the doctor who did biopsy. He must lie on a flat bed with soft bedding in comfortable position. He must use a spinal support.
