Do i have rheumatoid arthritis if my thumb hurts when used for a longer time like playing cards or using the phone for a longer time ...if in rest it doesn't hurt...and hurts only on the right hand.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the joints, leading to pain, stiffness, and swelling. It can affect any joint in the body, including the hands and fingers. However, the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis are usually more widespread and affect multiple joints. In addition, rheumatoid arthritis symptoms often include morning stiffness that lasts for at least an hour and improves with movement throughout the day.

One can suspect RA if you have feeling of pain, early morning stiffness, swelling in small joints of your hands.. Sometimes you might have a definite family history..
Your thumb might pain at its base with the activities you mentioned..This can be due to many reasons..
Kindly get yourself examined clinically by an orthopedic surgeon for clinical diagnosis and treatment, sooner the better!
