Below 30 considered as vitamin D deficiency. Better to have Vit D in between 30 and 60.
The deficiency may be due to less vitamin in diet or due to indoor living with out exposure to sunlught.
It is better to have vitamin D and calcium supplements.

Deficiency of vitamin D is common in females and vegetarians. and can be managed using calcium and vitamin D supplements.
The reasons vary , the main one being inadequate sunlight exposure, because sunlight exposure is important for our body to synthesize vitamin D.
Being obese, decreased absorption from the gut, and kidney problems may also be the cause of vitamin D deficiency.

Start with vit D3 (cholecalciferol) sachet 60k weekly once for 8 weeks and get it rechecked. Have it with a glass of water/milk after meal.
