Hi, I have severe muscle soreness in my left back oblique area. I've been working out for almost a month. Picking medium heavy weight s. Doing ample stretching as well pre-workout. What should I do for a speedy recovery?

Hi... Take icing on the affected area after every work out... Even if u don't feel any pain.. practice it for a couple of days... If possible visit any physio once and ask for particular stretch to be taken for that part of spine... Continue ur workout...avoid running and abdominal crunches for a couple of days...even if they disturb ur regime... Let it recover first and then carry on. U must already be on a protien diet.. considering ur uric acid levels.. try taking in natural forms rather than supplements. U can add Vitamin E.. evion capsules... Which helps with cramps...it's ok only a supplement to be taken for 15 days at night.
Health Tips
icing can cause burns... avoid for more than 10 mins.. keep checking ur skin for any sign of excessive redness

You probably have strained your posterior oblique sling . Proper assessment is needed to be done as to specify which particular muscle you have overdone.Consult a physiotherapist for that.
Health Tips
Stop weight training, however you can do aerobic conditioning.
