Seems to be due to sharp edge of tooth. Get the sharp edge smoothened from a dentist and wait for it to heal.
Next Steps
Visit dentist for clinical examination.

Hi As your dentist mentioned, it is cheek bite and it is because of sharp cusps of teeth. No need to worry, you can get the sharp cusps round off and you can use Dologel CT if pain is present. Its very good that you quit smoking and keep it up. Searching on google does cause paranoia, not that you should not google your symptoms, but be smart enough to trust your examining dentist.
Next Steps
Warm salt water gargling with Dologel CT if pain is present.
Health Tips
Be educated by Google on Various conditions, But don't trust everything that is on Google.
