Recurrent Fever
My uncle was cured from LRTI, UTI & Enteric Fever together in August. This was the 1st instance of illness in his entire adult life. The only medication he has been on for last 15+ years is of High BP; however during the above illness, insulin was administered by treating doctor, which was gradually reduced to Glyciphage SR 500 twice daily by the same doctor on subsequent monthly followups. He has been having a recurring fever every 8-10 Hours for last 9 Days (Temp. Ranging 100-102), but has absolutely no other issues. Doctor has adviced multiple tests like XRay, USG, Urea, Creatinine, Dengue & Malaria (done twice), Hba1c, Urea (routine & culture) done twice, widal test, scrub typhus and all results are ok. Total count is also OK, except Hb 10.5, Total RBC 3.89, ESR 45, CRP 59. Doctors are confused if this is bacterial/viral/sepsis and requires hospitalization? Took Paracetamol 650 1st 7 days, followed by Cetil 500 twice daily, but after 5 doses of antibiotic the result is still same.
