Usually 2 to 3 sittings are required. Single sitting is also possible which is entirely case dependent. Caps could be of metal which would be around 2000 to 3500. It could be Porcelain fused to metal which could vary from 3000 to 6000 and metal free or zirconia which varies from 7000 to 12000. It entirely depends on the type of material and warranty.

But you can choose your cap there are various types of cap starts from 2500 to up-to 12000.
