The time it takes to remove the cast slab from your elbow fracture depends on the severity of the fracture and how well it is healing. Generally, the cast is removed after 4-6 weeks for a minor fracture, while more severe fractures may require a cast for up to 10-12 weeks. Your doctor will monitor your progress through periodic check-ups and X-rays to determine when it is safe to remove the cast. Therefore, it is recommended to follow the instructions given by your doctor and to attend all follow-up appointments to ensure proper healing of the fracture.
