Rabies vaccine inquiry
I have been taking rabies vaccines since May, but sometimes I had to start a new schedule in between the ongoing one. What should I do for future exposures?

Why are you taking vaccines? They are taken only if there is a risk of rabies. In case of further exposure,  decision would be based on time of last vaccine taken.

For future rabies exposures, always start a new full PEP schedule and inform the doctor about your vaccination history. Don’t mix incomplete schedules; proper timing is important for protection.
Next Steps
Start new PEP schedule

Your situation suggests multiple incomplete or overlapping rabies vaccination schedules, which can make immunity status uncertain. In such cases, the best approach is to check Rabies antibody titre (RFFIT or ELISA) to confirm protection. If adequate antibodies are not present, you’ll need a proper pre-exposure schedule (days 0, 7, 21 or 28) — once done correctly, any future bite will need only 2 booster doses (day 0 & 3). Since rabies is 100% preventable but always fatal once symptomatic, it’s important to streamline your vaccination correctly. I’ll review your exact vaccination history and guide you precisely on what to do next — please message me on WhatsApp at eight double zero nine eight two one double three two for detailed advice and next steps.
