Good afternoon Depends on which type of OTITIS MEDIA And yes if it is chronic mucosal type it can cause perforation of ear drum! Ruptured Ear drum might be due to trauma

It can .. if the virulence of the bacteria is more and You are still infected or due to  inadequate treatment.. can cause increase in the secrations causing streching of the ear drum and finally rupturing
