My mother is diagnosed with diabetes 10 days back. Her blood sugar levels before were:
Fasting sugar level - 255 mg/dl
Postlunch sugar level - 412 mg/dl
She is using two tablets for past 10days.
1. metformin hydrochloride prolonged release and glimepiride tablets ip (1 before breakfast and 1 before dinner)
2. methylcobalamin alpha lipoic acid pyridoxine hydrochloride and folic acid capsules.
Currently her sugar levels after using those tablets for 10 days are:
Fasting sugar level - 118 mg/dl
Postlunch sugar level - 175 mg/dl
Since her sugar levels reduced, can she reduce the intake of those?
Please help!
