-Heavy, pulling, draining-type pain in legs with difficulty standing can commonly occur due to worsening varicose veins and venous insufficiency -Blood pooling in leg veins can cause heaviness, fatigue, swelling, and aching especially after prolonged standing
Next Steps
-Consult a vascular surgeon/general surgeon for detailed vein evaluation -Venous Doppler ultrasound may be needed to assess severity and valve function -Use compression stockings during daytime and elevate legs while resting -Avoid prolonged standing and maintain regular walking activity
Health Tips
-Weight control and leg exercises can help improve symptoms -Seek urgent care if sudden swelling, redness, severe pain, or breathlessness develops -Do not ignore persistent worsening symptoms as treatment options are available if needed -Contact me anytime on Practo for further consultation

The heaviness, pulling sensation, and difficulty standing that you’re describing can commonly happen with progressing venous varicose vein issues, especially when symptoms start affecting daily activities. It would be best to get a proper vascular evaluation done so the exact severity and cause can be assessed early and managed correctly. A detailed consultation can help guide you regarding the right specialist, investigations, and next step options without unnecessary anxiety 👍

Since you have a diagnosis and seeking which Faculty of medicine would help you treat it best, then my first suggestion will be a vascular Surgeon and then a General Surgeon. Normally people get anxious hearing the name of a  " Surgeon". Don't worry. Let them examine and assess the extent of your varicose veins. Then the treatment modality is determined.
Next Steps
In the mean time the easiest thing you can do is - Ice fermentation. take a bucket filled with ice water upto your calves. add an ice tray to normal temp water. it will be uncomfortable but it does give very good results. also elevate your legs using pillows under your feet.
Health Tips
avoid prolonged standing.
