Does psychosis return back if stop treatment after one year? How long should one take treatment for first episode of psychosis including delusions hallucinations and fear

Psychosis is broad term and chances of relapses vary from one patient to another. Detail symptomatology and family history comirbid medical illness is psychiatric illness age of onset all contribute to relapse of illness .

Yes , chances of relapse are very high. Some studies say that after first episode of psychosis, treatment should be continued for at least 2 years. Other studies say lifelong. Having said this , it cannot be predicted if and when the psychosis will recur.
Next Steps
Please see a psychiatrist in person for complete assessment if you fear that you are relapsing. if treated in early stages, its easier to control.
