My brother is suffering from symptoms like hallucinations, delusions since may,2023. we weren't aware of symptoms,noticed when he scored less in his midterm test in june,he was above average. no positive symptoms initially,he was silent,in his own world.But by July he started showing symptoms like laughing suddenly, visual hallucinations, delusions like he is god.By mid July took him psychiatrist and started on arip 5mg. didn't took regularly.then symptoms exacerbated by Aug consulted 2nddoc, said he is having psychosis and it's too early to say it's schizophrenia.for the past 4 mths he is on regular treatment . currently on arip 20mg,150mg at night and ecitane 2mg 1-1-0 and started on. risperidone 1mg 1-0-1 since there is no significant decrease in hallucinations and delusions and thought broadcasting.there was a significant change within 1month of treatment,but the symptoms are same. laughing and all have stopped.but not able to concentrate in studies.board exams next year.

Listen , inner voices from mind suggest OCD and voices tht hearing from ear from outside it's aclled hallucinations, often it's misdiagnosed in hurry , and self laughing all suggest more towards psychotics symptoms, detailed evaluation need to be done
Diagnosis goes more towards psychosis according to history. If not much improvement seen can try different drug molecule or can increase dose of medication and need to be evaluated again for symptoms.
