Is this PSYCHOSIS ?
Please note : My diagnosis was done by a psychiatrist . My mental problem started with Pure OCD and anxiety , later on which also included some traits of borderline personality disorder . Recently I started having thoughts Like - WHAT IF I start hallucinating ? What if I go crazy ? And if I tried to challenge my thoughts I started getting delusions like - Now I have challenged my thought , so even more bad would happen to me . I went back to my psychiatrist for this thing and he says m on the edge of PSYCHOSIS . How can it be psychosis when I don't have the symptoms of it ?? I am NOT hallucinating , m just having minor delusions . From the time my doctor has mentioned psychosis , I am even more scared of it and I am even more scared of getting hallucinations now .

Hello, your diagnosis will be OCD and anxiety is comorbid in that. OCD comes along with anxiety and depressive features so what you have to do is start psychotherapy in order to prevent escalation of symptoms and relapse.

As already described in the previous answer, it's a part of OCD only. A person who has delusions or hallucinations doesn't know it himself or herself. For a person having it, it is true. Micropsychotic episodes can occur in borderline personality disorder but that also you yourself can't make out. Please take the prescribed medications properly and follow the psychiatrist regularly and as i earlier highlighted, don't Google, don't search your symptoms on any internet platform nor your medications.

Hello The way you have described your thoughts, it appears to have a component of obsessional fear which could be part of your OCD. Magical thinking can also appear as delusions but are not a psychotic phenomenon. Development of psychosis involves a lot of factors, namely, genetic, biological and environmental. Micropsychotic episodes are seen in borderline personality disorder as well. If you don’t have any definite symptoms, its not psychosis. I can understand that you are scared about the uncertainty. Make sure you go for regular follow ups with your psychiatrist and discuss it in detail. Cognitive behavioural therapy will also help you a lot.
