My father was critically ill covid patient with 80% lung infection and was admitted in the hospital for about a month. Now it's been 7 days that he has been discharged from the hospital but he is still very weak. He has lost about 10 kg weight. His muscles are also very weak. Even if he does any simple activity ,pulse rate increases. He is also a diabetic ,BP and thyroid patient. Right now he is taking steroids also ..so his sugar levels are also very high. Please guide me regarding the food intake he should take for body strength and muscle gain.

covid causes, huge protien loss from body, supplementation either through diet or protien powder in needed, protien does not increase sugar levels directly, 1gm/kg body weight/day is needed, max upto 1.5 gms/kg/ day.
