Pressure and cough
My mother was having coughing symptom from the past 7 to 8 months. We consulted doctor and took antibiotics like Amoxicillin
Swich 200, ceftas 200, cloff 500. In April the ESR was 94 and in September it was 82 then it came down to 64. After cloff doctor told us to take doxt sl 100 then the ESR came to 33. But after doxt sl the pressure which was previously remaining normal it started fluctuating like 115/59, 109/55, then doctor told us to take amlovas m 2.5/25 previously my mother was taking stamlobeta for pressure for last 20 years. It's been 2 days since amlovas m has been Started and the pressure is like 147/70,149/82, previously the upper part remaines between 120 to 130 but now it is going higher.
The amlovas m has been started 2 days ago , can I give stamlobeta today to normalise the pressure. And regarding cough she is still having cough and shortness of breath. What to do in this situation? Your responses will be very helpful

You can't give her stamlobeta as it contains the same components of beta blockers and Amlodipine.Either you can give her a higher dose of amlovas 5/50 or revert back to old medicine instead of amlovas 2.5/25.But ideally her dose should be modified or changed under the supervision of the treating doctor .Consult with a pulmonologist for the chronic cough and breathlessness as it could be reactive airway disorder.
