Hi. I had a diagnostic hystero laparoscopy in September 2024 since I had 4 failed IUI cycles despite all factors showing normal in scans and tests. The doctor did a biopsy to confirm that there was no tb in the uterus but said that the lining did not feel that right so prescribed me to take crina ncr 10 mg twice a day for 3 months. Since the surgery, I have not had my periods till now. Can you please tell if it's due to the tablet that I am taking and if yes then when can I expect my period to come since before surgery my cycle was regular every month. I do have PCOS but never had irregular cycles before. Also the doctor found my tubes to be blocked during the surgery. In my HSG done in Dec 2022, one tube was blocked and another was open that's why we did the IUI's. Please suggest if we should plan on opening the tubes now or go for IVF. Kindly help. Thanks.

You are 35 years old. I don't know why you are wasting your time on IUIs. You should have planned an IVF straight away.
It is possible that you are not getting your periods because of Crina ncr. Any hormone given continuously will not let you have your periods unless it is a breakthrough bleeding. To get your periods there has to be a break in the hormone treatment.
Reason why you are not getting your period is your not stopping the medication
Bleeding will happen only when you stop taking progesterone
First you need to connect with your doctor again to confirm if she wanted you to take this medicine for 3 months together!!
Or You got her wrong
IVF as a success rate of approximately 60%
If you are able to get one of the tubes opened IUI would be a cheaper and an easier option
