PTSD symptoms like hyperarousal, nightmares, and heightened anxiety can greatly impact your quality of life. Ayurveda provides a holistic approach to manage these issues through calming the mind and balancing Vata and Pitta doshas. Recommended Ayurvedic Medicines: Brahmi Vati (Gold): Calms the mind and reduces hypervigilance. Take 1 tablet twice daily. Ashwagandharishta: Supports stress management and sleep. Take 3 tsp with equal water after dinner. Saraswatarishta: Improves concentration and reduces irritability. Take 3 tsp with water after lunch. Tagara Capsules: Promotes restful sleep. Take 1 capsule at bedtime. Jatamansi Powder: Helps with anxiety and nightmares. Take 250 mg with honey at bedtime. Additional Therapies: Nasya: Use 2 drops of Anu Taila in each nostril daily to calm the nervous system. Abhyanga (Oil Massage): Apply warm Maha Narayana Taila to reduce muscle tension and improve relaxation. Lifestyle Recommendations: Practice Bhramari Pranayama and meditation daily to calm the mind. Avoid stimulants like caffeine and alcohol, especially in the evening. Establish a consistent bedtime routine with soothing activities like reading or listening to calming music. Diet Tips: Include calming foods like milk, almonds, fresh fruits, and warm soups. Avoid spicy, fried, or processed foods that can aggravate Pitta and Vata. If symptoms persist, please consult an Ayurvedic doctor or a mental health professional for a personalized treatment plan. Wishing you peace and healing!
