Post and core buildup
How much time after RCT on the 2 front middle upper teeth (which are fractured) should I get post and core buildup to be viable for placement of dental crowns? What of I wait for two years after RCT to get post and core buildup and then place the dental crowns? Is it possible? What is the life of post and core restored dental crowns?

Hello sir... post and core should be done for root canal treated tooth if it does not have enough crown structure and support..... As the root canal treated teeth is very weak it is ideal to do post and core and capping immediately within a month after root canal treatment otherwise the remaining crown structure will gets chip off and gets damaged..it is not good to wait for 2 years for post and core.. A properly made post and core of front teeth will lasts 15 years with proper acre and regular dental check up
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist for furthur clinical examination and management

Please visit a dentist to check whether post and core is needed or not it is necessary when there is inadequate tooth structure remains to support the full crown , if is necessary please get it done and get crowning done .if you leave it as such there are chance of cracks in roots if mistakenly you bite something hard from those teeth and it hampers your smile also.its better to get them restore without delay.

Hello As you are 20, why you want to be with fractured front teeth for two years . You must be in college or working . Requirement for post and core - good RCT - no pain -no infection As it is difficult to remove post from the canals . As you asked about life of post and core retained crowns . Teeth can last life long if done properly . If still you wanna wait , go for composite build up and improve your smile Take care
