Post and core crown lifespan
What can be the expected life of post and core crown on upper central incisors having 3-4mm of tooth structure left above gumline? Will it eventually result in tooth extraction if the crown comes of?

Hello sir... A properly built post and core will last for around fifteen years in czase of front teeth... you should not bite with front teeth....should not give any forces with that teeth.... proper oral hygiene should be maintained to prevent food lodgement

Hi, 3-4mm of Tooth is more than enough for a successful crown. Yes the post & core needs to be done to gain some more support for the crown to be held in position. If done correctly and perfectly the post & core alongwith the crown should last you at least 15 years provided you avoid biting from the front completely.
