My husband is having a possible fistula (as per doctor in India). One month back it was advised to take some antibiotics and a sitz bath. He continued that however due to some urgent family occasion we had to move here and there and the process got stopped. The wound was improving although. Then after a few days of that occasion we started our journey and returned to Canada and he started sitz bath once again. My question is what is the possible solution for this? Is surgery always required?? Should he continue sitz bath?? He is also applying the ointment t-bact. Asking these questions before going to a doctor here.
Need some advice. He doesn't have any pain although there is a very slow improvement.

If your husband was examined by the doctor and confirmed that he has anal fistula , surgical treatment is required. With antibiotics and sitz bath he may find temporary relief
Hello welcome
If it's fistula, then the only solution is surgery.
So you consult a surgeon at your locality for physical examination and proctoscopy and treatment advice.
You may need to take MRI fistulogram
