Current anxiety attached to future uncertainty has to be addressed in therapy. Therapy focuses on past trauma due to relationships earlier followed by managing the facts about romantic relationships which will help reduce anticipatory anxiety. Conversing about these fears with primary care giver who understands the person also helps reduce the fear if that option is available for the person.
