Plaster is needed
Hi I have a minor fracture in baby finger does plaster is required? Or can be treated with the crepe band etc apart from plaster. Attached is the X-ray please answer thankyou.

If reduces well with traction and plaster, can go ahead with the same. Function will be restored after adequate rehab anyway. Worst scenario could be some residual deformity,stiffness and shortening

Get a cockup or ulnar gutter slab after closed reduction. if reduction acceptable on xray , can let it be

If you can accept minimum deformity then u can go ahead with CR and plaster with guarded prognosis. Fracture is angulated needs correction, Better go for  small surgery K WIRE FIXATION

Plaster (Cock up slab) is bare minimum.I would rather prefer CR with k wire and start early mobilisation

Fracture is displaced So need to fix with k wire by. surgery) If u apply crepe bandage or plaster Fracture will malunited ( heal in abnormal position)
