Looks like PCOS or hormonal cause, but it is treatable and does not mean future fertility problems please book a consultation for proper evaluation and a personalised plan.

She can be having pcod / pmos , it can sometimes cause fertility issues also. But in most of the cases it's manageable and pregnancy is achieved. But do consult a gynaecologist and get a ultrasound scan done for proper diagnosis

Irregular periods for two years along with weight gain and hair growth since childhood point toward PCOS. This is a hormonal condition, not something cured once and finished. The pill worked before because it regulates the cycle while you take it, not because it removed the cause. That's why the irregular pattern returned once you stopped it.
Next Steps
A pelvic ultrasound and hormone blood tests will confirm this and guide treatment. PCOS can also affect fertility later, so treating it properly before marriage is worth doing now.
Health Tips
Please see a gynaecologist for a proper PCOS workup and treatment plan, rather than waiting for the cycle to settle on its own.
