My period is delayed for 7 days. My home pregnancy result is clearly negative. What will be the cause? Also to mention due to food habits I have recently gained some weight. Wat to do to get my period?

Reconfirm by Bhcg.It is kind of blood test and confirmatory also.Result is negative means no pregnancy.Get done TSH and serum prolactin level to rule out the hypothyroidism and hyperprolactenemia.In both condition amenorrhea will be there.
