Period delay
Hello Doctor, my last period started on 19 September, and I haven’t had my next period yet. My cycles are usually regular, around 28 days. I’ve been experiencing significant stress recently and had a high fever of 104°F in September. I have white, watery vaginal discharge and have also noticed some itching or irritation. I have never had sex. Could you please advise what might be causing the delay and what tests or treatment I may need?

A stressful illness like your fever last month can disrupt ovulation and push a period out by weeks. Since your cycles are otherwise regular and you've never been sexually active, pregnancy isn't a concern here. The white, watery discharge with itching is separate, most often a vaginal infection such as a yeast infection, which often flares up after a fever.
Next Steps
Give it another week or two, since cycles usually settle on their own after an illness like this. For the discharge, a vaginal swab can confirm the cause so treatment can start. See a gynaecologist for both.
Health Tips
If your period still hasn't come after 2 to 3 more weeks, or the itching worsens, don't wait to get examined.
