Delayed period after taking I pill
My female friend was involved in an unprotected sex on 18th September though there was only little penetration for about 10 secs with no ejaculation. To be noted, her actual period had started from 15th September and had ended on 17th September. Still, she took ipill after 60hrs of sex on 21st September. She then had period like bleeding for about three consecutive days from 27th September with little blood clots and cramps. She also took home pregnancy test thrice, one after 11 days if sex, second after 21 days if sex and third after 39 days of sex which all read out negative. Her period for the month October has still not yet arrived though she is experiencing mild cramps and breast tenderness since yesterday. Is there any chance of pregnancy? Or when should she expect her next period to come ?

With only brief external contact and no ejaculation, pregnancy risk from that encounter was already low, and the emergency pill taken soon after lowers it further. The bleeding that followed about a week later, with clots and cramps, is most likely a withdrawal bleed from the pill itself. But whenever bleeding and cramps follow an emergency pill like this, a doctor needs to rule out miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy before putting it down to hormones alone.
Next Steps
Keep repeating the pregnancy test, since an early negative doesn't fully rule either of those out if a normal period still hasn't followed. Please see a gynaecologist for a quick in-person check if there's any doubt.
Health Tips
Go in urgently for fainting, dizziness, one-sided pain, heavy bleeding, or fever, since those need same-day attention.
