Hi sir, recovery is cofactorial process. Your tooth position, dentist skill and your habits. All are linked together. Use of lasers during surgery will pace up healing. No deleterious habits will boost your healing and ofcourse the position of your tooth which cannot be seen via naked eye. An xray (opg) or rvg is advisable.tq.keep smiling

Get an opg done so that we can evaluate the type of impaction. The surgical extraction will be done under Local Anesthesia only. After the procedure u will have mild discomfort for a week. The swelling initially increases in 24 hours and slowly subside after that .You will have mild difficulty while opening the mouth . If your Tooth is too close to the nerve below you might have mild parasthesia for a week or 2 .All this will become normal after a week. You need to take soft diet for couple of days . Apply ice fermentation immediately after the extraction to reduce the swelling . And also if u don’t have any other medical conditions you can request your dentist to give you a stat dose of inj Decadron 8mg (corticosteroid) got reduction of the swelling .
At present take medicines:-
Tab O2 twice daily for 5days after meals
Tab Combiflam twice daily for 5days after meals
Tab Rablet D once daily for 5days before meals
Apply Metrohex DG gel thrice daily for 5days and rinse with plain water
Hexidine mouthwash twice daily for 14 days
Warm saline rinses between meals
☆☆☆If patient is alcoholic or has consumed same within 15 days DO NOT take O2 as it has life threatening reaction instead take Augmentin 625mg
☆☆☆In case of acute severe pain take Tramadol OR Voveran OR 2 Tablets of Ketorol DT dispersed in water
First go for opg xray .healing depends upon person to person.
