Partial Distal Bicep Tear
I partially tore my distal bicep tendon while lifting weights 2 days ago and also due to some overuse. I had taken antibiotics about a week ago. Now I found out antibiotics can weaken tendons. I am resting completely and have iced the upper elbow area twice. It isn't torn completely as the bicep hasn't moved up to give the popeye bicep effect. There is no bruising or inflammation so I guess it's only a Grade-1 tear. I haven't visited a doctor, this is just a guess from what I have read on internet. There is a little bit of pain which I would rate as 1/10 or 2/10 where 10 is maximum pain. I am looking for any Doctor near Indirapuram or NOIDA region who can help me get an MRI and point out what percentage of tendon is torn. Then 1-2 months later I want to do another MRI which may show the tendon has healed so that I com resume heavy lifting. Also do tendons heal back to their full when given not torn much? Thanks.

Hi Since you wanna do heavy lifting later.....it is advisable to visit an expert physio who can actually access the muscle tear and plan a Rehab programme.
