1.2CM surface tear noted in cuff tendon
My mom had severe shoulder pain, post consultation she took MRI and the report says "partial thickness articular surface tear noted in distal supraspinatus tendon. Tear measures about 1.2CM in width. Rest of the cuff tendons appear normal". Please guide me on further step. Surgery or Medication?

Hi, this is a very common problem. Please don't take surgery decision fast. First do Physiotherapy for atleast 6 weeks. I am sure correct exercises will help in reducing pain. I am specialised in Spine and Joint pains. All the best
