Suffering with breathing difficulties due to panic attacks, at times have to take deep breath or breath through mouth, medical reports are normal. Is it necessary to take medicines for anxiety to stop this? As I am worried about long term medicines and side effects.

Counselling/therapy can help you understand the nature, the triggers and also ways to manage or deal with them. Visiting a psychologist would be suggested.
