Pain under the left lower ribs that worsens with stretching or lifting heavy objects could be due to: Muscle Strain – Overstretching or lifting can strain intercostal muscles. Costochondritis – Inflammation of rib cartilage, often worsened by movement. Gastric Issues – Gas, acidity, or an enlarged spleen (in rare cases). Nerve Compression – Pinched nerve in the thoracic spine. Internal Organ Issues – Rarely, issues with the spleen, pancreas, or kidneys. Ayurvedic Approach Apply warm sesame oil with turmeric on the affected area. Drink jeera-ajwain decoction to rule out gas-related discomfort. Avoid heavy lifting and practice gentle stretching. Triphala churna at night for digestion if bloating accompanies pain. If pain persists, consult a doctor for further evaluation.
