Pain next to angle of mandible and below
Hi, I have pain just behind the angle of mandible and below the ear. Also referred pain in my ear on same side. I got ear checked it's normal. Dr said maybe viral injection but I am not sure. Can it be muscle strain? I have attached the picture pointing out the area of pain.

That small gap houses the first and second spine. You will have to visit a physiotherapist to check if your upper cervical spine is rotated. Slightly ahead of that space is also the TMJ. But then it will click or there will be pain chewing or yawning. If you have had a motor vehicle accident and this pain is post that get an x ray
