Pain near tip of my scapula
Experiencing pain near the tip of my scapula on and off for the past 2 months. Not so severe pain.

It could be simple muscular pain. But if you have any urinary symptoms then go for USG prostate as you are aged male to rule out prostate pathology.

The most likely cause of the pain is muscular, rarely from the different causes, nerve related or gastrointestinal tract causes.Try with analgesics for a few days

Scapula pains are not a usual symptom more so if at night Do the following 1. Blood tests- CBP, ESR, Calcium, Liver Function test and PSA 2. Plain X ray of the scapula and Chest X ray 3. If liver function test is abnormal then, Ultrasound abdomen. All the best. J G S R clinic

Many times the pain of tip of shoulder come from diaphragic irritation or it can be a mild cause like infection or inflammation of diaphragm.
Next Steps

Do let us know your profession- if it involves prolonged standing If mild- adequate hydration and tab diclofenac 75mg, sos after meal- as and when the pain appears with cap pantoprazole 40mg, before food. If the pain is severe enough get USG while abdomen done

Likely : Muscle strain / postural pain / cervical spondylosis related. Rx: Tab Paracetamol 650 mg SOS pain Apply Diclofenac gel locally twice daily Gentle shoulder & neck stretching exercises If pain radiates to arm, causes numbness, or persists >2–3 weeks then imaging may be needed. Consult a General Physician like me via Practo or orthopaedics.

Seems muscle pain. If unbearable consult superspecialist like orthopedic  as it needs examination. Till than Eterocoxib Mr two times a day after food for 3to5 days. Locally volini gel or spray. Two three times.

if the pain is on and off it could be a muscular pain..does the pain radiate to any other sites like front of chest or shoulder,then better to get a cardiac check up.please connect for consultation for better evaluation
