Pain in the back of Right Knee
Hello Doctor. I have been suffering from pain in the back of my right knee for a month. It hurts when I get up especially from the squat position. But I have no pain at all while walking, running and performing yoga. I have also noticed little swelling on the back calf muscle. And also suffering from lower back pain. Can you please suggest me what could be the problem? and which specialist to consult??

Hello . As per your symptoms , pain while getting up from squatting position usually points towards MENISCUS ROOT TEARS . meniscus are small cushions in our knees to help them protect while u walk and run . These can be treated with medications, lifestyle modifications and guarded physio therapy . It is advisable and Best to consult a sports medicine trained orthopaedic surgeon .
