  4. Pain in Right Knee. For above problem?

Pain in Right Knee
My wife has problem of knee pain in right leg. She has been suffering since 2 years. Dr. suggested for MRI. She have done MRI scan. MRI report shows 1. Joint effusion 2. Myxoid degeneration in ACL and PCL 3. Myxoid degeneration in medial meniscus Can you please explain what does above report suggest? Is surgery is required for above problem?

Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Myxoid degeneration suggest poor quality of ACL, PCL and meniscus. This may be traumatic or arthritic. She needs surgery if there is pain and instability/locking . Try conservative measures like exercises, ice pack application and rest to affected knee.
