Pain in RCT crown while biting/chewing
I got an RCT and a Crown placement 1.5 months ago. Since a week after fixing crown, I'm having pain on that tooth while biting or chewing.
Till now pain exists on biting and when I tapped (mild tapping) the crown, it hurts.
Since a week, that particular tooth is paining even on brushing.
Is it something normal and take long to heal (more than 2-3 months to heal)

this is not normal you should consult a dentist near you get an xray done for the offending tooth to rule out the cause of tenderness on the offending tooth .

Its not possible to have pain in the rct treated tooth, if the treatment is done properly.
Sometimes infection underneath the tooth takes time to heal but that should not cause pain while tapping on the crown.
Next Steps
go to the dentist who treated and undergo one more x-ray to understand if the treatment is donr properly or not.

Pain in RCT treated tooth is not possible as the nerves are not there within the root canals..there must be some high points on the crown so your biting forces are not equally distributed ...its causing stress to Periodontal ligament.. so pain occurs due to pressure point

Go to concerned dentist .. get an IOPAR XRAY done of that tooth..to check whether there is any periapcal or periodontal radiolucency..

It shouldn't be hurting for so long. Please go for a review to your dentist for this tooth and the teeth adjacent as well to find out why this is hurting.
