If the pain isint severe, its probably because of deposits underneath the gums. I would suggest you to go for cleaning along with detailed clinical checkup to rule out other possibilities.

Pain and bleeding may be due to deposits in the teeth which causes Gingivitis....Complete clinical examination is necessary to rule out cause....
If there is any deposits then complete scaling( tooth cleaning)should be done
