His pain could be due to back muscles sprain ,or radicular pain arising from the back goin to the hip or it could be a renal Stone ,as he has previous history.Do a routine urine analysis to see if there are RBC ,if present get an ultrasound scan of kidney ureters and the bladder.

Kindly get a USG whole abdomen+pelvis done once, and until then take the tablet zerodol mr one tablet after lunch, one after dinner. This is for muscle pain. And if there is a stone in usg which is big, surgical aspect can be considered as per requirement. And then medicine like urispas can be given. Kindly get a usg done and consult me.
