Pain after 3 months of rct
Last year I had impacted and infected lower wisdom tooth, which further infected my adjacent lower right molar , although I got wisdom tooth removed through surgery and about 5 months after, I got RCT for lower right molar .In final sitting of RCT my doctor told me that my tooth is very much infected and , she is not sure for how long RCT will help, so she advised me to keep the tooth without crown for atleast a year and see if it settles on its own. Currently my molar has RCT and covered with permanent filling. But the problem which I am facing is that when ever I am eating anything sweet or drinking soda , my RCT tooth pains a little and I feel pressure on the jaw and mild swelling on the same side of cheek. It's completely uncomfortable feeling. I want to know what could possibly be the problem for this and what further treatment should I go for. Attached is the X-ray image of my RCT for right lower molar

The rct looks okay in this radiograph however a 3d image will provide a better picture. Visit your nearest endodontist get a cbct (3d xray) done to better understand the cause of your pain and rct failure.

Rct looks  decently done.unless there is a missed canal not seen in x-ray. When you meet dentist next time do ask them to check for distal molar pocket . Minor crack because you didn't put the cap can be also reason for pain Molar pocket if positive has to be corrected

Ideally after RCT tooth shouldn't pain on having anything sweet or cold. Mild swelling and pressure is a tricky one here.
Next Steps
You should visit an endodontist (root canal specialist) in your area and get an opinion. I believe a good Endodontist can solve your problem as the condition of the tooth does not look bad on he xray.
